COMPLETE USER GUIDE

From the first call to the next focus.

Everything needed to understand DrawForge’s workflow, rules, statistics, offline behavior, and limitations.

01

ACCOUNT, HOME, AND THE CORE FLOW

Getting started

DrawForge is designed around a repeating loop: make an intentional call, record the result honestly, reflect, and use the accumulated evidence to choose the next focus.

  1. 01

    Create or restore an account

Use Sign in with Apple or Google. DrawForge never asks for or stores the password for either provider. New eligible members review the membership disclosure, Terms, and Privacy Policy before entering the app.

  2. 02

    Set up the range

Create a Range Profile or choose the safe minimum and maximum yardage available today. Exact-station mode includes 10-yard increments from 10 through 100, plus up to five custom stations from 5 through 150 yards.

  3. 03

    Add equipment if useful

Equipment Profiles let Insights compare results for a particular bow or setup. Equipment is optional when beginning a session.

  4. 04

    Choose the right forge

Start the One Shot Challenge before Practice if you intend to do both that day. Otherwise, begin Practice manually or launch the Recommended Forge shown on Home.

HOME PRIORITY

One Shot sits at the top of the training choices because it must represent the cold arrow. Practice and the Recommended Forge follow it.

02

ONE ARROW. ONE OPPORTUNITY.

One Shot Challenge

The One Shot Challenge is a cold-arrow exercise. It records a single pressure-style arrow before warm-up or other shooting that day. Members receive one challenge per calendar week.

  1. 01

    Open One Shot before Practice

If a Practice session begins first, One Shot is intentionally unavailable for the remainder of the local calendar day.

  2. 02

    Choose the safe possibilities

Select a continuous range or exact stations. If stance calls are enabled, select every stance that is safe and genuinely available.

  3. 03

    Make the commitment

At final confirmation, acknowledge that you have not already shot arrows that day and are ready for a no-reroll call.

  4. 04

    Receive the call

DrawForge independently randomizes the distance and, when enabled, the stance from the complete selected set. True randomness can produce the same option on consecutive calls in Practice.

  5. 05

    Shoot once and report honestly

Secure the phone before handling the bow. After the arrow, report Heart, Lungs, or Miss and add optional miss direction.

NO REROLL

A difficult or uncomfortable-looking call is not permission to regenerate it. If the call is unsafe, do not shoot; safety always overrides the challenge.

03

CONTROLLED VARIETY INSIDE SAFE LIMITS

Practice Mode

Practice Mode creates one call at a time from the choices the archer has approved. A result must be recorded before the next call appears.

Distance Availability

Use continuous random yardage or select exact stations. The active minimum and maximum must be whole yards between 5 and 150.

Stance Calls

Enable random stance and choose from Standing, Sitting, Kneeling, Elevated Platform, and Blind. Select only positions that are safe and physically available.

Target Zones

Include Lungs for Heart/Lungs/Miss scoring, or remove Lungs for Heart-or-Miss precision work.

Equipment & Conditions

Attach an Equipment Profile and optional environment, wind, or shot-angle context so Insights can compare like with like.

Practice programs

Open PracticeRandom calls within the selected safe range.

Distance LadderAn intentionally ordered outward-and-return sequence.

Pressure FiveFive calls and five honest results.

First Arrow CircuitReset completely and treat every call like a first arrow.

Confidence RebuildEmphasizes the lower portion of the chosen range.

Recommended ForgeA 12-arrow focus plan derived from recorded weak segments; its recommended stance and yardage load automatically.

BEFORE THE FIRST CALL

Review the readiness briefing, confirm the range is clear, place the phone safely, visualize the shot, and value execution quality over arrow count.

04

THE RECORD IS ONLY AS USEFUL AS IT IS HONEST

Recording results

DrawForge uses simple outcome zones so every result can be recorded quickly before the next call.

HEART

The highest-value target zone.

LUNGS

A vital-zone result when Lungs is enabled.

MISS

Outside the enabled success zones.

Misses may include High, Low, Left, and Right annotations. These directions help identify repeatable patterns without changing the underlying Miss result. Use Undo Last Result immediately if the wrong outcome was entered.

The first recorded Practice arrow is also marked as the Cold Arrow for session-level analysis. Ending a session without any recorded arrows does not create a saved Practice session.

05

THE PART NUMBERS CANNOT CAPTURE

Coach’s Eye and Forge Journal

Coach’s Eye appears after Practice so the archer can capture mental clarity, observations, and a next-session commitment while the details are fresh.

  1. 01

    Rate the mental picture

Record how clear and controlled the session felt rather than allowing the final arrow alone to define it.

  2. 02

    Write what mattered

Note execution cues, equipment observations, conditions, or patterns that the result buttons could not express.

  3. 03

    Make one commitment

Choose a specific focus that can be carried into the next session.

  4. 04

    Return through Forge Journal

Saved reflections are organized by month and remain connected to the session that produced them.

06

PATTERNS, NOT PROMISES

Understanding Insights

Insights summarizes the history you recorded. Filters can scope the view to 30 days, 90 days, or all time and to all equipment or a specific Equipment Profile.

One Shot Insights

Outcome rates, average call, vital streaks, momentum, stance signals, miss direction, and distance-band performance.

Practice Performance

Distance bands, stance performance, recent momentum, Cold Arrow results, consistency, context, and equipment comparisons.

DrawForge Readout

Rules-based observations that look for weak combinations, mental-clarity relationships, conditions, directional misses, and other useful signals.

SAMPLE SIZE MATTERS

A small history can produce unstable percentages or apparent patterns that disappear with more arrows. Treat early Insights as questions to investigate—not conclusions or performance guarantees.

07

MAKE THE APP MATCH THE ARCHER

Profiles, accessibility, and settings

Profiles preserve the context needed for repeatable setup and useful comparisons. Settings control readability and the range experience.

Range Profiles

Save frequently used continuous ranges or exact stations and reuse them in Practice and One Shot.

Equipment Profiles

Name bows or configurations so every relevant chart and recommendation can be scoped to the selected setup.

Text Size

Choose Standard, Large, or Largest. Standard is the default and the preference follows a signed-in account.

Field Experience

Control spoken calls, haptic confirmation, screen-awake behavior, Sunlight Mode, and available reminder preferences.

08

LOCAL FIRST, CLOUD CONNECTED

Offline use and synchronization

After a member signs in while connected, DrawForge is designed to remain useful at ranges with unreliable or unavailable service.

  1. 01

    Authenticate while online

The account session must first be established with Apple or Google and Supabase while service is available.

  2. 02

    Use DrawForge at the range

Open the app and record supported Practice, One Shot, profiles, settings, and reflections even if service is unavailable.

  3. 03

    Watch the sync status

DrawForge identifies whether changes are saved locally, waiting for service, retrying, synchronizing, or synchronized.

  4. 04

    Reconnect

Queued account changes replay automatically when a usable connection returns. Keep the app installed and avoid clearing its local data until synchronization completes.

Guest activation is different: each free guest sample needs connectivity when it begins. Once activated, the active session can continue if the connection drops.

09

A LIMITED WAY TO EXPERIENCE THE FORGE

Guest access

Guest mode provides one free Practice session and one free One Shot Challenge per protected device/install identity.

  • Complete One Shot before starting Practice if both samples will be used on the same day.
  • DrawForge privately remembers when each sample begins, so reinstalling the app does not ordinarily reset guest access.
  • Guest results and Insights remain separate and do not transfer into an account created later.
  • An internet connection is required when each guest sample begins.
  • Creating an eligible account provides the full 30-day trial and account-based cloud history.

READ BEFORE USING DRAWFORGE AT A RANGE

Safety and limitations

DrawForge is a training log, practice-planning tool, and rules-based information service. It cannot observe the range, inspect equipment, or make a shot safe.

  • Archery can cause serious injury, death, or property damage. Use qualified instruction and follow every applicable law, range rule, and property restriction.
  • Never hold or operate the phone while drawing, aiming, or releasing. Set or secure the device safely before handling the bow.
  • Only select distances and stances that are safe, clear, physically available, and supported by an adequate target and backstop.
  • A generated call is not a hunting recommendation, an ethical-shot judgment, or confirmation that the shot is safe. Decline any unsafe call.
  • DrawForge does not replace professional bow setup, equipment inspection, medical advice, legal advice, hunting regulations, or emergency services.
  • Insights depend on accurate user-entered data and may be affected by small samples, scoring judgment, equipment changes, weather, fatigue, or mistakes.
  • Recommendations identify patterns in the recorded history; they do not guarantee improvement, accuracy, safety, or a particular outcome.
  • Service, synchronization, speech, notifications, and third-party sign-in may be interrupted by device settings, connectivity, or provider availability.
